BIO-TUFF\u2122 592<\/strong> is an extremely adhesive coating suitable for application over primed or painted steel or concrete. The formula is designed to be uniquely abrasion and impact resistant.<\/p>\n

BIO-CHIME\u2122 390<\/strong> is designed for applications where a flexible, corrosion resistant coating is required. SURFACE PREPARATION:<\/strong><\/h3>\n

This may be accomplished in several ways:<\/p>\n

New Concrete<\/strong>:  <\/span>leave to cure properly for a minimum of 20 days before coating. Weak surface laitance must be removed by either; acid etching or abrasive blasting. (Note: acid etching can be difficult and unreliable unless performed with particular attention to proper acid application, scrubbing, rinsing, and drying.) Abrasive blasting, (recommended), may be effected by conventional open blasting or with \u201cBlastrac\u201d\u00ae type centrifugal equipment. The concrete surface after preparation should have the granular appearance of medium sandpaper.<\/p>\n

Aged Concrete<\/strong>:  <\/span>best prepared by abrasive blasting. If contaminated, contact Thin Film Technology, Inc. for advice.<\/p>\n

Steel<\/strong>:  <\/span>Abrasive blast or power tool clean for atmospheric service.<\/p>\n

Existing Coatings<\/strong>:  <\/span>May be applied over clean coatings in good condition, abrade existing aged coatings before overcoating with BIO-TUFF 592<\/strong>. Do not overcoat with conventional coatings.<\/p>\n

APPLICATION:<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Follow the procedure described below:<\/p>\n

Apply by heated, plural component airless spray for best results, small areas can be applied by brush or spreader.<\/p>\n

Requirements for heated plural spray: Fluid pressure: 3,000 psi at gun<\/p>\n

Fluid temperature: 150\u2019F+
\nFluid hose: 3\/8\u201d min for 100\u2019 length.
\nAirless pump: Graco \u201cBulldog\u201d, \u201cKing\u201d or similar
\nAirless Gun: Graco 207945 or similar
\nAirless tip: 33 \u2013 37 thou\u201d
\nApplications should be made between 40\u00b0F minimum and 110\u00b0F maximum.<\/p>\n
